2001 Porsche Boxster S. Pretty useless low in the rev range, but that flat six HOWLS above 5K RPM. I’m just about to clay bar it. The paint is pretty rough but silver hides imperfections well.

There’s a Tesla P85 D getting a complete detail today as well. Currently sitting with a final coat of wax/sealant and then it’ll be delivered back to the customer.

How rough was the Teslas paint? I’ve heard stories of the early ones having really bad paint, so was wondering how it is on the later D models.

The paint seemed to be in pretty good shape. The other detailer clayed it then did a two step polish and wax process on it. It’s smooth as glass now and it looks fantastic.

Haha silver, white and red are all good for hiding imperfections!

red sure hid the scratches well, but not the age in paints. hard to see, but in the first pic you can best seen between the hood and front fender.

but once polished to all the same 20 year old red colour, instead of 3 shades of red and an orange, it did hide things well :)
